ITTA elects new office bearers

Pondicherry IT Traders Association (ITTA) has elected its office bearers for
the year 2008-09. Rajesh Jain, CEO, Indica Computers has been appointed as the
new President. T Sivakumar, CEO, Siara Systems retained his position as VP for
the second time. Sridhar of Sukkra Traders, Sivagnanam of Microware and Rajkumar
of Sakthi Computers are the Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer,
respectively. The other elected executive committee members include Aravindan of
Shamrock Systems, Arun of Qtech Services, Hansraj Jain of Vijex Graphics, Cyril
Thomas of New Version India, Ganesh of Nexwin Informations, Jeyaraman of Ritchy
Computers and Jeyabal of Gateway Informations.

It may be noted that ITTA elects its Presidents on a rollover basis, ie the
VP becomes President the following year. Likewise, members holding other
positions also move one designation ahead every election. “Due to certain
reasons Sivakumar was not able to take over as President. However, respecting
his stint in the industry and capability, we asked him to continue as VP for the
second time. Next year we hope he will take over as President of ITTA,” informed
PN Prasad, former President, ITTA.

Since its inception in 2003, ITTA has been conducting elections every year
and elects new office bearers. The association has regularly been conducting
meetings. Besides conducting regular associa­tion meetings, ITTA arranges
outdoor events and family trips regularly to inculcate unity among dealers in
the region.

Expressing his pleasure on being elected the new President, Jain said, “We
have just concluded our annual general meeting and has elected our executive
committee members. It will take a few more days to create an agenda for the
year.”
