ITC Infotech plans to expand in East

Owned by Kolkata based conglomerate ITC, the mid-sized IT company ITC Infotech is planning to expand in Kolkata and Bangalore. Headquartered in Bangalore, the firm employs around 4000 individuals in the city itself and around 650 in Kolkata.

Under the expansion plan, the firm is creating infrastructure to house 10,000 employees in Bangalore and 5000 in Kolkata.

Presently the company has an employee count of 6000 people nationally and is likely to become three times after expansion which is likely to be completed after 2016.
Pune and Trivandrum are two other, rather small centres of operations for the service company. They are planning to expand in these two cities as well.

Other locations in which the firm is also considering operations include Chandigarh from North, Indore from West and Bhubaneswar from East.

The firm was established in the year 2000 and has seen a steady growth rate of 22% yoy, as per National Association of Software and Services Companies report.
