IT to help physically challenged

Digvijay Singh, Chief Minister, MP, has said that information technology can become an important tool for meeting the needs of the physically challenged people. They can get all information for improving their lives and can get employment sitting at home through IT. Singh was inaugurating a two-day national workshop jointly organized by the Institute of Indian Information Technology and Management and Rehabilitation Council of India at the Institute of State Health and Communication Management. The subject of the workshop is `Use of Information Technology for the Handicapped'. The Chief Minister said that the state government was committed to the rehabilitation of the physically challenged people and that a commission has been constituted for this purpose. Singh said that the government had set up 500 'Sankul Kendras' for the development of IT.
