It's `Chandi hi Chandi' at Lanbit

Mumbai-based Lanbit Networks, a leading networking company, has extended its silver scheme called the `Chandi hi Chandi' offer to Chennai. The scheme, which is available till 30 November 2001 is valid only on the purchase of Lanbit LB Power 500VA UPS. The offer is for resellers buying products from Lanbit distributors.

With every purchase of LB Power 500VA UPS in a single lot the resellers would earn free silver. Ten grams of silver is earned on the purchase of one LB POWER, 80 grams of silver with five LB power UPS, 200 grams of silver while purchasing ten LB UPS and when one buys 20 numbers of LB Power UPS they would get 500 grams of silver.

"The 500VA UPS rules the roost in the UPS market, as far as the volumes are concerned. We feel that we should be the most competitive in this segment, be it features, price or warranty vis-à-vis competition. Keeping this in mind, we have offered the Chandi-hi-Chandi scheme across the country," said Himanshu Shukla, National Sales Manager of Lanbit Networks Pvt Ltd. There are further excitements to this product line. Every box of Lanbit LB Power UPS will carry a CD containing the management software for the UPS along with information on other products. There is a "warranty-extension" coupon, which the user can send directly to Lanbit to claim additional warranty from the company. An additional year of warranty will cost Rs 150 and a two-year warranty will come to Rs 250, said

The Chandi hi Chandi offer which was launched in Mumbai and Delhi last month was extended to Chennai from November. In Chennai already 20 UPS machines have been sold and we are expecting a very good response in the coming days, said S Samkumar, General Manager of Elite Peripherals Limited, the authorized distributors for Lanbit Networks Pvt Ltd in Chennai.


In order to increase the sale of UPS systems, Lanbit will be giving onsite warranty on all their current models. Onsite warranty will be offered within the city limits at locations where they have their own offices (Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nasik). "We feel that these are definitely some good steps to ensure total customer satisfaction and we have received a huge response from our distributors in Delhi and Chennai regions along with some good orders. We intend to capture at least ten percent market share of Chennai region," said

Himanshu.

Regarding Lanbit's channel network he said, "We have some excellent schemes running for our eight distributors. We are currently in the process of appointing silver partners across the country with a specific scheme for them which would be released soon and we are looking at appointing around 300 preferred partners across the country, wooing them with a host of promos and benefits."
