has appointed
Biren Shah of Adit Technologies as its chairman, replacing Rajesh
Kothari. Alok Gupta of Softmart Solutions will take up the role of
president from Devesh Aggarwal. Navin Kapur will be the
treasurer and Harinder Salwan will continue as general secretary. In
addition, Hemant Chabria and Sudarshan Ranganathan have been
appointed as vice chairperson and vice president respectively. Alok
Gupta, president, ISODA said, “The new committee has formulated a 5
stage agenda, which will be rolled out in the coming future.” He
informed that the association intends to intensify and expand its
work opportunities with government and also work towards rationalizing
taxes on software.
The association aspires to
double its membership. On this Gupta said, “Currently, there are
about 120 members and we intend
to increase the count to about 200-250 members.” Another objective
on which ISODA will focus is
to mitigate and solve the problems of the association members. Also,
the association aims to
improve the profitability of its members. Above all, Gupta said, “The
association and its members are gearing up to execute a successful
Tech Summit 2012. We want it to make a landmark IT software event of
the country.” The summit is planned to be held in Singapore early
next year between January 26 to 29, 2012.
