Intransa, provider of intelligent information storage, delivery, and
management over IP, has announced that it has formed a strategic partnership
with SES Technologies to provide Intransa’s IP SAN through international
channels.
Under terms of the agreement, SES will provide SIs and VAR’s with
distribution services of Intransa’s IP SAN and work with its partners to
provide customers with a comprehensive range of supplemental services, from SAN
implementation and ongoing support to training and instructional programs.
According to the company release, Intransa’s IP SAN introduces a
sophisticated architecture and manage-ment software that enables customers to
easily add storage capacity from 2-16 TB and consolidate, high volume e-mail and
collaborative environments such as Microsoft Exchange, databases, backup and
restore applications and other mission-critical data mana-gement and disaster
recovery applications. The IP SAN provides IT administrators an attractive means
to migrate from Direct Attached Storage (DAS) to networked storage by leveraging
the network commoditization trend and the wide spread knowledge of IP
networking.
"Working with Intransa and incorporating Intransa’s IP SAN into our
solutions portfolio will provide customers an intelligent and low cost
foundation for enterprise class IP storage," said Rajeev Chaudhari, VP, SES
Technologies.
"Partnering with SES Technologies accelerates Intransa’s global market
penetration strategy and provide customers in India with the industry’s most
advanced, intelligent IP SAN to address customer business needs by providing
managed network storage to lower total cost of ownership," said Udi Paret,
VP (Global Operations), Intransa.
