Five-year-old Intoto Inc, provider of integrated sec-urity, wireless and
voice soft-ware platform products to equipment manufacturers, has announced an
investment of $15 million for the expansion of its India operations.
Sathyan Iyengar, President and CEO, Intoto Inc informed that the investment
would be spread over a period of five ye-ars. According to his estimate, it
could well be in excess of the assigned $15 million. The India head S N Murthy
added that the company will add 40 people in Hyderabad taking its head-count to
160 this year and is looking at expanding to other Indian cities as well. "Chennai,
Bangalore and Pune are on the target list," said Iyengar.
Intoto’s R&D center located in Hyderabad has been respon-sible for
design, development and maintenance of all Intoto communication products along
with the customer support for the customers in Asia Pacific region, elaborated
Iyengar talking about the IP position of the company.
Iyengar also inaugurated the company’s 22,000 sq. ft facility in Hyderabad
today. With redu-cing time-to-market on priority for equipment manufacturers and
a market opportunity of $2.7 billion growing at the CAGR of 40 percent expected
to touch over $ five billion by 2007, Intoto is expecting to grow by at least
100 percent in the coming fiscal. The line up for the products for next few
months includes iGateway ParentalCQ, SecureICP, Inline-IPS among others. Intoto
Inc recently secured $11m in fun-ding from Asiatech Manage-ment–an early stage
VC firm–and a strategic partner.
