Intex unveils 22-inch TFT-LCD monitors

The TFT-LCD monitor segment seems to be getting bigger and bigger not only in
demand but also in the size of its offerings. Following the trend, Intex
Technologies announced the launch of its range of 22-inch wide-screen TFT-LCD
monitor-Intex IT 22 LCT and 2201.

Intex IT 22 LCT, with an inbuilt TV tuner card, comes with TV function,
giving the consumers a dual reason for purchase. The HDMI port connectivity
provides high definition video and

8-channel audio entertainment by enabling a single cable support for various
sources like set-top boxes, DVD players, video game consoles, etc. Other
features, enabling high performance, are 3ms response time, 1680x1050 (WXGA)
resolution, wide screen and dual speaker. The monitor is available at a price
tag of Rs 18,000 (MoP) while the Intex 2201 is available for Rs 12,600 (MoP).

Speaking on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, Deputy GM and Head-PC Business
Division, said, “The trend in Indian market is fast moving towards big and wide
screen monitors. The new 22-inch series with advanced features has been designed
keeping in consideration user pre­ferences like multi-tasking, with no
compromise on the performance quality. The launch is in line with our commitment
to provide quality display solutions and Life version 2.0 products, to our
customers. We are hopeful that it would meet the expectations of younger
generation as well as professionals like animation filmmakers, CAD/CAM users,
etc.”
