Intex targets 80 percent growth in Orissa

Intex Technologies, an emerging company in IT products and solutions, is
hoping to increase its overall financial growth by 80 percent in Orissa in the
2004-2005 financial year.

Informing this, Ranjit Bhattacharjee, Area Sales Manager of the company said,
"We entered the Orissa market only in 1996 and over the last eight years
provided services to customers’ satisfaction. As a result of which the company
now dominates the market in many products".

According to him, the product in which Intex is dominating the market
includes cabinet, mouse, woofer, motherboard, keyboard, Ethernet hub and UPS.
The company is now increasing its concentration on releasing more UPSs in the
market, Bhattacharjee said.

"The sale of assembled computers in Orissa each month is about 1,400 to
1,600. We are now selling about 800 Intex keyboards every month of the state’s
total 1,400 assembled PC. Over past four months we have sold 1,000 mouse through
our dealers," he said.

Bhattacharjee is confident that the sales of Intex product will grow further.
To create awareness among the dealers the company had organized a dealer meet at
Bhubaneswar, which was attended by about 120 people. During the conference the
company tried to build confidence in its dealers about its product and
demonstrated how they can increase its sale.
