Mumbai, Oct 18

The Trade Association of International Technology (TAIT)
organized expo, Com IT, will have an international pavilion. Usually a part of
national level events, vendors from other countries set-up stalls to showcase
their products and interact with the local crowd in these international
pavilions.

TAIT has decided to assign a special segment to the
international companies, so that partners and customers can get a glimpse of
products that are locally not available. The expo would serve as a platform for
the vendors to launch their products and offerings in India.

Champaklal Gurjar, Executive Council Member, TAIT said,
"We have received confirmations from several companies and TAIT will be
finalizing the list of participants in the next 15 days."

TAIT has created a Taiwan pavilion, which is a part of the
floor plan currently being circulated to prospective expo customers. Gurjar
added, "We are still in the initial stages. We have received good response
from certain Taiwan and Chinese vendors. Depending on the confirmations we get,
we will go ahead with individual pavilions for various countries or we might
have a single pavilion of all international companies."

The Com IT expo will be held at Mumbai's MMRDA Exhibition
Grounds from December 7 to 11, 2007. TAIT wants to make this an annual feature
and has outsourced the management of this event to Winmark Services.

Winmark and TAIT have priced the stalls at Rs 8,000 per sqft
for this expo. Incidentally, some partners, who have already booked stalls at
the event, feel that the high cost is a deterrent for smaller IT companies who
might want to participate in the expo. A local manufacturer on condition of
anonymity said, "I am aware of some companies who want to book a stall but
cannot afford the high price. Had TAIT created a separate section for smaller
exhibitors at marginal prices, there would have been a lot more
participation."
