Intel Technology India Pvt Ltd plans to scale up its presence to 60 more
cities in India for the coming quarter with a major thrust in South India,
remarked GB Kumar, Sales Director, Intel.
"We see great opportunity in the coming quarter with good home buying
due to holidays. Moreover, with the post-duty confusion settled by the end of
March, the prices of PC have also come down. With these opportunities lying
ahead we hope to penetrate wider and deeper into 60 additional cities,"
added Kumar. Last year saw Intel covering 124 cities in India.
As part of this, Intel is launching a summer promotion program focused on
school kids. Besides for the channels it will be floating ‘Jhuka do Asman’
scheme and weekend activities at residential complexes in top eight cities.
Prescott, Intel’s successor to P4 family will be given a major thrust through
channel led advertisement.
In addition to that for South India, Intel will be focusing more on the
retail, SMB, education and e-governance projects.
