Integra Micro Systems, a Bangalore-based software company, has announced the launch of XMLDataLink, a software tool to exchange information from enterprise databases over web. This provides cost effective solution to send and receive business documents electronically.

XMLDataLink is developed in-house by the Business Applications Services Division in Integra. It provides a solution that creates and implements XML based services. XML DataLink allows one to access, update and exchange information with multiple databases in real time, through a single universal interface. In other words, it provides a secure gateway between relational databases and the web. When XMLDataLink receives a request for a service, it locates the appropriate service, accesses the database, and executes the service. Results are transformed into XML, and sent back to the client, where they can be used by the requesting application.

Bharat Shyam, Group Leader, Integra said, "With XMLDataLink, companies can adapt to new technology, while protecting investments made in the existing enterprise systems. Organizations can integrate their disparate internal systems using the XMLDataLink without compromising data security. XMLDataLink harnesses the power of XML technology to allow loosely coupled application integrations, so that they are flexible to accommodate the changing needs, without re-engineering.
