Ingram Micro India (IMIPL), a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc USA, a global distributor of technology products and services, has inaugurated a new integration center at Pondichery for its own brand - MAGIX, a custom built PC with a guarantee of world class components at extremely competitive prices.Â
Magix PC's are built around the Vesta Platform. Vesta is the brand under which Ingram Micro had launched its component business over a year ago.Â
The integration facility is ISO 9002 certified and in addition, the PCs are Microsoft certified and also have a Type Approval Test certification from Electronic Testing and Development Center (ETDC) as per the Bureau of Indian Standards.Â
Inaugurating the new integration center for Magix, NY Prasad, Chief Operating Officer, IMIPL, said, "Magix is a significant white box initiative to address the needs of resellers and customers in Tier II & III category cities who continue to be dependant on the assembled PC market. Lexmark appoints Ingram as partner
As part of the implementation of the Lexmark International India operation, Lexmark has appointed Ingram Micro India Pvt Ltd as its national distributor for consumer inkjets, All-In-One Print Centers, SME laser printers and the consumable product range.
Under the new arrangement, Ingram Micro will focus on the distribution of Lexmark's high volume products with the objective of making these products highly accessible across India.
Fran Duggan, GM (Indian Sub-Continent), Lexmark International (India), said, "Our aim has been to create a strong and focused national distribution network which will allow us to support an extensive reseller network. Our agreement with Ingram Micro complements our existing distribution strategy, and will ensure that we have a wider reach across the country.
