Infotecnics India Ltd, a premier networking and system integration company,
recently completed 10 years of existence in the market. Infotecnics flagged off
a evening christened Infotecnics Decade Celebrations for its customers, partners
and distributors.
The day also marked the unveiling of a special scheme from Infotecnics billed
as The Draw of the Decade. This scheme is open to all customers purchasing any
product or service from Infotecnics of value exceeding Rs 5 lakh between August
8, 2001 and March 31, 2002. The scheme is open to all end-users, OEMs and
reseller partners of Infotecnics.
The event started with an Exhibition on Emerging Technologies, demonstrating
the Technical prowess of Infotecnics in integrating RISC and Intel-based
servers, running diverse OS like Solaris, Windows 2000, NetWare 5.1 and Linux in
a seamless network interconnected through Wireless, DSL and Ethernet supporting
thin clients through Citrix Metaframe.
Some of the interesting demonstrations emerging from this setup were that, a
hand-held thin client could connect to any server through a Single Sign On (SSO)
and draw information stored on an Oracle database running under Novell NetWare
server through a Windows 2000 server with SQL running Citrix. Other interesting
concepts demonstrated, included running MS Word through a Sun Solaris Server.
The demonstration was an eye-opener for a lot of technology-savvy top executives
from various corporate houses.

customer service and satisfaction. The company has undertaken several projects
in the finance and banking, telecom/ISP segments and most of these customers
have been returning to Infotecnics with repeat business for over the last four

initially called Infotecnics to quote only for their hardware requirements. But
then, seeing the technical and network design expertise of Infotecnics they were
convinced to give Infotecnics the contract to set up the entire network.
