Image to open more training centers

Image Infotainment, a multimedia training company and software developer, is in the process of expanding its training network by opening more centers in India and abroad. In the first phase, the company would be opening a training center in Cochin and would also inaugurate its fourth center in Chennai, before going abroad. "Presently, we are operating from 14 locations (13 in India and 1 in Mauritius) offering wide range of multimedia and graphics courses. Image has both short-term and long-term programs for the students," said K Kumar, Managing Director, Image Infotainment Limited.

Currently, Image three training centers in Chennai and a development house at its corporate office located at Alwarpet, Chennai. "We have both our own centers and franchisee operated centers across the country offering all courses," he said.

However, he declined to further comment on the company's overseas expansion plans.

Meanwhile, the company is also getting aggressive in the development business by negotiating with a couple of companies to develop education and sports titles. "We are also looking for prototype jobs and holding talks with a few prospective customers in Australia and Malaysia," added Kumar.

Image offers short-term courses such as ADP, CWD, CCA and AVP, besides high-end diploma programs in web & multimedia designing and web & multimedia programming.

The company has recorded a turnover of Rs 2.5 crore in the last fiscal and projects a revenue of Rs 4.8 crore in the current fiscal, where training is expected to bring 80 percent of the business.
