IIT Delhi and Red Hat to conduct joint R&D work

Red Hat, provider of open source technologies including Linux, said that it has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IIT Delhi, an Indian education engineering institutions in India. As per the agreement, Red Hat will assist the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi to implement and maintain Linux based solutions. It will also work closely with IIT Delhi, to joint research and development areas. Red Hat will also make its latest products and upgradations available in the lab and impart training to IIT students as well as staff, in order to popularize the Linux platform.

The highlight of the MoU is that henceforth, Red Hat will upgrade and maintain the existing Red Hat Linux Cluster in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi.
