Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) and Kolkata based Intelsys are launching Java Specialist and e-commerce programs starting the April 25th and May 22nd, 2001. Intelsys is focused towards the development of application software and training with specialization in Multitier Server computing in a DCOM environment, comprising object oriented technologies and e-commerce. Intelsys would provide the course materials and trainers to the program with the objective of disseminating knowledge and expertise acquired in various technologies.
"It has become important for people to acquire a certain skill set in order to survive this shifting job market that is increasingly focusing on a skill base rather than a degree or diploma. Thus we are adopting these specialized programs to meet the needs of a very specialized job market." Said Ashoke Dutta, Director, IISWBM.Â
"The course curriculum will be designed by international software experts comprising experts from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the faculty will comprise of international software development managers and experts," said S Chakraborty, CEO, Intelsys.Â
The Java Specialist is a 12-week program that includes topics like Beans, Java Server Pages and CORBA. The e-Commerce Program is for six months with a middleware programming in RMI, COM/DCOM, and Web security like secured online banking and digital security and other emerging technologies. The classes will be conducted in the premises of both IISWBM and Intelsys Education. In order to qualify for the long term e-commerce course, students will have to pass a written test followed by a personal interview.
