Aggressively setting up a
pan-India dealer network for compatible cartridges and refills,
Kolkata-based Yashujee India Automation has recently launched its
range of laser toners, under its brand 'Icon', to further its
process of consolidated growth. “The market for refilled
and compatible cartridges is very competitive, with numerous players.
To add to it, the price-edge factor is rocketing high these days. We
are offering two varieties under our latest launch of laser toners,
namely premium and regular,” said Tushar Ranka, CEO, Yashujee India
Automation. While the premium range is aggressively pushed in the
corporate houses, government, healthcare and education verticals,
directly by the company, the regular range caters to single user
demands through its string of over 50 channel partners across India.
“The premium range
offers better quality and sustains longer than the regular ones.
Among our customers, we have ITC, Wipro, Cognizant, CESC, Emami and
BM Birla Healthcare amongst many other prestigious houses,” Ranka
said. However, the premium range, which is marketed directly by the
company is concentrated in Kolkata only. “The channel market is
very price sensitive and the end-user also looks for lower price.
With our regular range of Icon products we are addressing this
market,” Ranka added.

With quality focus adding
an edge to its brand over its competitors, the company is procuring
toner shells from South Korea with the toner and ink components
imported from EU and Japan. The assembling, however, is done in its
factories at Howrah. By the end of CY 2011, the
company is looking forward to achieve a revenue target of Rs 5 crore,
which will imply over 500 percent growth for the company. Addressing
the belligerent
revenue target, an optimistic Ranka added, “We are planning to come
up with a franchisee model besides strengthening our dealer network.
In a very short span of time, we have successfully appointed
distributors for the north-east markets and will now focus over South
and North India.” Further, the company is planning to increase its
dealer base by over 200 percent taking it to atleast 200 by CY 2011.
