ICICI Infotech, an IT company promoted by ICICI Bank Ltd, has inaugurated its Center of Excellence (COE) for design, development, testing and delivery of enterprise solutions in Chennai. Set up at a total investment of $ two million, the center is spread over 15,000 square feet. As part of its expansion drive, ICICI Infotech would also be recruiting 200 professionals.
The COE would mainly focus at providing development, maintenance and technical support for the Enterprise Solutions encompassing Orion, an end to end ERP II solution, Premia, an Insurance offering, CrossRoads, an ERM solution, the Triton suite for customer acquisition and management for the financial sector and MERLIN, an integrated business solution for small businesses and develop additional offerings to complement the existing offerings.
Orion, Premia and MERLIN are the IP of Dubai-based Insyst Technologies (MEA) Ltd, which was acquired by ICICI Infotech in September 2001. Similarly ICICI acquired CrossRoads, an ERM product, six months back. Said Hari Padmanabhan, former Managing Director of Insyst Technologies and currently President, Enterprise Solutions Group, ICICI Infotech Ltd, "We are now going global by taking products that were regional to a global level. The Chennai COE will enhance our global delivery capability by offering a support center for our enterprise solutions. Currently we are supporting 200 customers based in Middle East from
Chennai."
The COE would complement ICICI Infotech's other software development centers in Mumbai, Chennai and
Bangalore.
