IBM India Ltd has announced an incentive program for its channel partners in India, called Blue Warrior - Storage Solutions, targeted at the growing storage solutions market. This specialized program incentivises the partner companies to sell IBM storage solutions in India.
The unique aspect of the program is that it will not only reward the person who closes the sale, called the Star Knight, but also the person who sources the opportunity in the market, called the Star Scout.
Blue Warrior is valid till March 2002. All sales representatives of IBM's partner organizations are eligible to participate in this program. Monetary incentives is the predominant feature of the program and points differ depending on the nature and profile of the storage product sold. Points have been allocated for categories such as high volume products like some of the LTO models, iSCSI products, SAN Packs and non SAN Packs; and high-end products like some LTO models, SAN switches, storage servers. The top achievers in the Star Knight and Star Scout categories, will be announced at a recognition event that will be organized at the end of the program.
Alok Ohrie, Country Manager (Channels), IBM India, said, "Incentive program like Blue Warrior further drives our focus and enhances our commitment to the channel organizations. Our end-to-end storage solutions are best-of-breed and cater to diverse sectors from small businesses to large organizations. This program is an effective methodology to allow our partners to focus on the opportunity in the market and benefit from it."
