Mumbai based Omnitech Infosolution Ltd was robbed of two notebooks worth Rs
1.75 lakh from its engineer travelling from Delhi to Patna. Omnitech is also a
premium partner of IBM for the Indian market there-fore, caters to clients out
of Mumbai. "The notebooks had been sent by courier to Delhi for our client
Birla Sunlife which was sup-posed to be taken to Patna. We have informed the
Patna and Delhi Police but nothing has happened yet," said Sudhir Seth,
proprietor of Omnitech Infosolution.
The robbery had taken place in December but as Omnitech’s efforts have
failed in doing investigation in the north, it has now resorted to the help of
Mumbai based association TAIT. "The emails ha-ve been circulat-ed across
the as-sociations ther-efore, now we are expecting the support of channel
partn-ers. We want also want the support of the vendor if the notebooks are
brought to the company for ser-vicing." The stolen notebooks included IBM
R40 Series 2682MLA, 2FLF402, 2FLF209.
