At its core, this evolution in competency structure aims to enable partners to better service customers. Customers expect modern solutions that save money, increase security, and give employees the flexibility to work anywhere, any time, on any device. Also, the Cloud potential continues to grow. According to IDC research, “Greater Cloud Spending” will exceed $500B by 2020. To capture this opportunity, we all need to make bold moves and re-imagine our businesses together. As an important step in this evolution, Microsoft is making changes to simplify the MPN program so that we can all focus our energy and investments on building cloud practices with partners together to meet growing customer demand.

Microsoft has identified 12 competencies that will be mainstreamed into the core cloud business to further strengthen the value we collectively deliver to our customers.

Through this change, the streamlined Microsoft Competency program is optimized to deliver top benefits, focused investments, and growth opportunities for partners who are working to provide more value to their customers and realize all the potential the cloud has to offer.

MPN Competencies will now fall within 6 main categories: Cloud Platform & Infrastructure, Productivity, Data Management & Analytics, Mobility, Dynamic Business Applications and ISV/App builder. The MPN Competency Pack and the Timelines for the changes was then discussed. This was followed by a Q & A.

After the first session, there was a Partnering success Story narrated by Sunil Doultani of Classic Systems. He narrated how he has successfully partnered with TechGyan and offered Cloud Services to his Customers.

The second keynote was on “Energy Management” and was delivered by Vinay Maste. He mentioned that when people talk about Productivity, they only talk about Time & Task Management. However, managing your Energy at high levels throughout the day is one of the crucial elements in increasing your productivity. At the end of his talk, he made the audience do a small 10 minute exercise which helped the partners get totally relaxed.

Next the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Vimesh Avlani, Secretary, IAMCP India West. This was then followed by Group Photos being taken leading to High Tea and Partner Networking.
