Bangalore based Huawei Technologies claimed that it has bagged the projects of Zimbabwe Telecom and China Telecom and successfully installed its Mobile Intelligent Network System for Thailand's largest GSM carrier, Advanced Info Service

Huawei has recently signed a contract to construct Zimbabwe Telecom's International Gateway Project and its National Intelligent Project. Under this project, Huawei Technologies will provide tandem switches to both Zimbabwe's fixed Network and mobile Network. The switches will be used in the construction of the tandem of domestic calls and international calls.
The national intelligent Network project will supply intelligent services such as PREPAID, UAN, FPH and VPN covering the whole country. The project is worth over $ 8 million.
In China it shall provide China Telecom with its 32*2.5G DWDM system for the construction of the Guangzhou - Shantou National Transmission Network. The Guangzhou-Shantou backbone spans 1100 kilometers with 17 sites. This transmission backbone Network is a part of the Asia Pacific Submarine Optical Cable project jointly constructed by more than 10 carriers.
It includes China Telecom, Japan Telecom, Korea Telecom and Singapore Telecom. Starting from Japan in the north, it extends to Singapore in the South, spanning over 1100 kilometers with 17 sites. This Network connects all National Information Transmission channels across the whole Asia Pacific Region.
