Fortinet has
entered into an alliance with href="https://www.dqweek.com/unavailability-of-hp-spare-parts-leads-grey-market-to-thrive">HP
Pro Networking. At a recent launch,
both the companies announced the launch of FortiGate-ONE software,
which will provide high-performance protection against threats and
data loss. Rajnikanth Urs, Country Manager-HP, Networking said,
"Converged infrastructure is the way to go. 70 percent of
customers invest their money in managing the existing set up which
does not leave room for any improvements. Our new product
FortiGate-ONE will reunite all the existing racks like storage,
server, networking into one single unit. Currently HP Networking has
26 partners who are trained and certified on networking." About
30 to 40 partners attended the event and most of them put up
questions on sales and warranty. Vishak Raman, Regional
Director-Fortinet SAARC and Saudi Arabia said, "Our roles are
very different. HP is very strong in networking and we are strong in
security. Each of the partners are given an option of selling it
together or as separate entities. Partners need not worry about post
sales service and warranty as they can contact either HP or
Fortinet."

up questions like role playing, distribution and service. Rajnikanth
said, "HP will take single responsibility and either of the
companies can be a single point of contact. We are also ready to
train any partner who wants to undertake the service. We will train
and certify him so that he is not dependent on us." Rajnikanth
also assured that HP will provide lifetime warranty on boxes and
replacement will be done within one business day.
