Can you ever imagine getting a MNC PC and color printer for just Rs 37,000?

Stop imagining. Just go ahead and buy it! This is what Redington has to say for buyers in the market. In an exclusive deal with Hewlett Packard, Redington is offering a HP e-PC bundled with a Deskjet 630C color printer for just Rs 37,000 for end-users. The offer also includes free 100-hour Internet connection and a pre-loaded TCS EX personal accountant software. "We are also offering one year on-site warranty for the customers," said Aniruddha Joshi, Vice President, Redington (India) Limited.

The e-PC comes with Intel PIII 800 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD, 15-inch HP multimedia Pavilion monitor, Philips speakers, USB modem, CD-ROM drive and NIC card, all for just Rs 37,000. "This is an exclusive innovative offer from Redington in association with HP for its channel partners to ramp up PC sales during the Christmas-New Year season," said Joshi.

Redington is pitching for every PC deal in the market with this offer and assures its channel partners of support in pricing, credit and availability of products. "We will also help our channel partners by giving leads and closing deals, if necessary," he said. Redington is aggressive in PC business and says it would try to work out similar offers from its other PC vendors. The company is dealing with IBM and Compaq, besides the HP range of PCs.

Under the HP e-PC scheme, Redington is working on corporate offers where it would help individual buyers to get loans from banks for interest rates ranging between 14 to 16 percent. "We are expecting to run out of stock in the next couple of weeks," he added.

Meanwhile, Redington has started a pilot project to initiate a `door delivery' concept in business for its channel partners. "We hope this concept would click so that we can extend the same to all our customers (dealers/resellers) across India, thereby saving them precious time and money to a great extent," said Joshi.
