HP participates in second phase of 'Flood IT'

As part of the Gujarat govt initiative, the students can avail great discounts on HP desktops and laptops

After being one of the largest sellers during the Phase I of Gujarat Flood IT 2009-10, the company has partnered with the Gujarat Urban Bank Co-operative Banks Federation (GUBCBF) for the second phase of the project.


As part of the initiative, students in Gujarat from KG to PG can now receive great discounts on the market price of HP personal computer and will also be eligible for interest-free loans for the purchase of these devices.

"HP is the personal systems category market leader and the preferred technology partner for India - we are proud to be part of this project which will increase the country's future technology access," said Vinay Awasthi, senior director, product category, PPS, HP India.

HP is offering products such as Pavilion desktops, Omni AiOs, HP 2000 and HP Pavilion notebooks, under the scheme. "We are offering everything from laptops to desktops and All-in-Ones, allowing students to select the most appropriate device for their own requirements," Awasthi informed.

HP also aims to carry the program through a unique busniess model that allows all channel partners to participate in the initiative.

The company has widest service and support system in Gujarat with 24 service centres spread across cities providing first-rate service experience.
