HP launches 'Trade in Trade up' to expand the LaserJet market

Hewlett-Packard India has launched a time bound program 'Trade in trade up' for its existing LaserJet customers. The program enables the HP Laserjet user to exchange their old printer for the latest HP Laserjet models in mid and high end range at attractive discounts upto Rs 1 lakh. This special initiative is being launched in key cities and is valid from August 15-October 31, 2001.

In addition the new exchanged printers will provide customers with a wide range of Internet and wireless features, from Embedded Web server (EWS) and embedded virtual machine (EVM) technologies to scan-to-Web functionality, duplexing fast infrared for wireless printing. The initiative is being promoted through active involvement of HP's channel partners. HP has garnered the support of key channel partners to drive the program.

"This initiative re-iterates HP's commitment to the customer and provide the latest Laser printer technology suitable for the Internet centric environment at affordable price points" said Nitin Hiranandani, Country Business Manager, Imaging and Printing Systems, HP (India).
