Imaging and printing major, href="https://www.dqweek.com/hp-networking-geared-up-for-partner-community">HP
has
unvieled a series of future-ready products and solutions giving
jittery to its competitors. The company hosted its Innovation Summit
at Singapore to showcase its ePrint-enabled print technology,
collaborative large format printer-HP Designjet T2300 eMFP,
Web-connected OfficeJet 7500A, and small-sized HP LaserJet Pro CP1025
and CP1025nw color printers. The innovative technology-driven
products' portfolio has led HP to consolidate its leadership position
in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. With cloud-based and
wireless-driven printers, the company has given a push to its imaging
and printing portfolio, and accelerates the services-centric approach
with a focus on managed enterprise solutions.

John Solomon, Senior VP-IPG, Asia
Pacific and Japan, HP said that there is a tremendous growth in the
Asia Pacific and Japan, with some segments growing faster. "There
will be an expected three fold rise in the printable content by 2012,
and the need to strike a balance between printing needs and
requirement has arrived. We are unleashing the innovation in three
different ways-SMBs, enterprise and graphics. This is the
revolutionary in the industry and none of our printing competitors
have this kind of offering," said Solomon. According to him, the
mobile wireless connection is expected to 1.2 billion this year and
85 percent of the smartphone users want to print. Solomon quoted,
"Today, everything is moving as a service, and by 2020, 33
percent of all the digital information will live or pass through the
cloud."

With a suite of innovation-driven
imaging and printing products and solutions, HP seems confident to
dominate the region. The printing giant has also tied up with search
engine and news portal, Yahoo!7 to supply content-printing
application. In addition, the imaging major enabled the access and
control for Google Docs on the OfficeJet printer. The users can
access, scan and print the files located in the cloud without a
virtual PC. The company has also forged alliances with business-ready
applications and documents providers like Biztree and Box.net. href="https://www.dqweek.com/hp-ipg-plan-campaigns-for-channel-partners">HP
is
also banking high on other technology innovations that include
ease-of-use and auto on-off. To a query on the Indian context,
Pierre Mirlesse, VP-Managed Enterprise Solutions, IPG, APJ, HP said
that, there is a great potential around the virtualization and
utility billing. "In India, not a single company can reach out
to all consumers. The population is distributed and there are 600,
000 villages in the country, and the government should ensure
braodband penetration. We are optimistic as the leading markets in
India include BPO and telecom," added Mirlesse.
