HP brings digital imaging revolution in India

HP India, Consumer Business Organization has launched 11 new products providing consumers with greater flexibility to explore creative and new applications of digital imaging. 

HP's new All-in-one products cater to an emerging market of the micro businesses, small businesses and niche home segments. The HP Officejet G 85 is a personal workhorse, capable of being networked with the power to print, flatbed scan, copy and fax from one single unit. The HP Officejet V 40 is a color printer, copier, scanner and fax at a breakthrough price point. The HP PSC 750 printer/scanner/copier is HP's flat bed all-in-one creativity tool. 

With the launch of HP DeskJet 920c, consumers will be able to afford a high output quality, 2400dpi with Photo RET 3 technology, at an affordable price of Rs 7,999. HP has also launched HP DeskJet 845c-a 1200dpi photo printer at an attractive price of Rs 6,499. The HP DeskJet 656c and 845c provide the option of using either black or color cartridge to reduce total cost of ownership of consumers. The HP DeskJet 948c, 920c and 845c are HP's photo quality printer for PC and Mac users.

The new scanner series launched by HP feature HP's exclusive dual sensor CCD technology with true 48-bit color depth for sharp scans and the delivery of original color rich images. 

The HP Scanjet 4400c targeted at photo enthusiasts feature the new instant 'photo formatting' software, which provides templates to minimize photo paper wastage. It enables easy creation of photo library with a new 'Scan-to-CD' feature, which helps to archive more photos seamlessly. The HP Scanjet 5400c and 5470c offer great price performance for SOHO and micro-business users with a remarkable preview and scan speeds. 

HP has also announced its foray in the DVD space with the launch of HP DVD 100i. It promises powerful features and DVD+RW technology for seamless media exchange of video content between consumer DVD players and PCs. It offers exciting applications for home users for creation and easy storage of movies, music or photo discs. Users can create DVD movies with the included software and back up/archive data up to 4.7 GB worth valuable files.

The company plans include an aggressive retail initiative to reach out to users in metros and smaller towns. HP currently has 1,000 retail outlets across 70 cities with plans to increase it to 1,300 in next six months.
