HP announces EliteBook x360 and Spectre x360 ahead of CES 2017

HP has unveiled its latest EliteBook x360 and Spectre x360 laptops ahead on CES 2017 in Las Vegas.

The company claims that the HP EliteBook x360 is world's thinnest convertible and its promises to offer longest battery life of up to 16 hours 30 minutes, which is the longest in any convertible.

The convertible runs Windows 10 operating system and has a 13.3-inch UWVA ultra slim touch display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution. The display is also protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by seventh-generation Intel Core processors (Core i5-7200U, Core i5-7300U, and Core i7-7600U) coupled with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. In terms of storage it offers 128GB M.2 SSD and goes up to a 360GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.

On the connectivity front, the device offers NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type C with Thunderbolt, two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, a Micro-SIM card slot, microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.The company has not revealed any pricing or availability details of the device.

On the other hand, the HP Spectre x360 features a 15.6-inch UHD display with 3840x2160 pixel resolution and it promises to offer 12 hours and 45 minutes of battery life. It comes with two front facing speakers which are powered by Bang & Olufsen for better audio experience. It also comes equipped with an IR camera and Windows Hello support.

The laptop is powered by a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM. It offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type C with Thunderbolt, two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI 1.4 port, a Micro-SIM card slot, microSD card reader, and a headphone jack as connectivity options.

The device is priced at $1499.99 and will be available on the official website from February 2017.
