is going big on storage virtualization and is tweaking its channel
plans across the board. The company is focusing on enterprise storage
and storage virtualization. Vivekanand Venugopal, VP and GM, Hitachi

said, “We have an excellent market recall because of our solutions.
Customers are getting better RoI because of our new innovations in
the product range. Ours is the only company which is offering
complete cache control. Not only do we reduce customer's captive
cost, but also cut down on their operational costs.”
size="3">Hitachi
is targeting government and telecom apart from their existing
verticals. It is also planning to expand its SI and VAR base to a
large extent. “We are a 100 percent channel, based out in India.
Our collaborative channel model allows partners to 'white label' and
resell Hitachi services. The investment which a partner makes is
negligible. We wanted to make this addition to help our partners earn
more profits,” added Venugopal. Hitachi will also take care of the
back-end support where the partner will have to use its customer
reach and market penetration.

company also has a academy program where they train partners and
customers on their products and investment. Once a partner is
certified, he turns into an authorized Hitachi SP. Hitachi will
offload all installation and implementations to these authorized
partners and it will only focus on strategic and transition of
technologies. Sharing his goals, Venugopal noted, “This year we
want to expand our SI and VAR base. Because of our open standards,
partners will find it easy to do business with us. I am confident
that our ability to offer collaborative business model
and profitability will excite partners. Our focus will also be there
to drive our marketshare higher.”

has recently signed up with CMC as its gold partner to provide
style="font-style: normal;">specific
technical
and application expertise to enterprise customers. It has
also signed up with Accel Fron
face="Times New Roman, serif">tline
as its gold partner so that it will help enterprise and SMB customers
across BFSI, manufacturing, telecom, government and media avail
system integration and vertical specific storage services. The gold
partner program is designed for SPs having strong market presence or
experience in solution providing in one or more categories.
