Hitachi brings cloud services to resellers

The new reseller program, will be hosted and managed by Hitachi, we have a partnership with four national distributors along with their tier-2 partners.

After the launch of Cloud Builder program, targeting major and large system integrators like Infosys and Sify. Now, Hitachi Data Systems(HDS) has introduced its cloud services to resellers, under the Hitachi reseller program for the tier 2-3 markets.

The new program will allow Hitachi's national distributor and its resellers to start selling cloud services to the small enterprise. Moreover, the company will also launch its third program Cloud Service Provider Partners, in this upcoming program the partner will host, manage and sell HDS powered cloud services to the large customers. The company is expected to roll out this program towards the end of June 2013.

Speaking on the launch of Hitachi resellers program, Srinivas Rao, director-pre-sales, solutions and services, HDS said, "Hitachi resellers program is a part of our Hitachi Cloud services connection(HCSC). The new resellers program, will be hosted and managed by Hitachi, we have a partnership with four national distributors along with their tier-2 partners. Once we enable the cloud services, partners can resell these services to their customer. Partners can offer various service catalog covering collaboration, email, backup, disaster recovery , records management, VDI. We will white labeled the solution and will be branded by distributors. Our resellers can sell the services based on subscriptions. Currently, this program is available in Hong Kong, Australia and now in India."

Rao feels, "This program will allow resellers to carry our cloud services, as of now only large system integrators are getting these services. Additionally, this program will also expand our reach and services to smaller markets."

Sunil Chavan,director, software group and cloud Asia pacific, said, "We do not compete with our partners, all our cloud services be it infrastructures,content and software will be driven by our partners across all the verticals. Hence we have formalized framework to expand market reach and services."

On the enterprise front, to attack the drop-box, sky-drive and Amazon file solution, Hitachi has introduced Hitachi Content platform(HCP) anywhere, the 1st integrated file sync and share for the enterprise customers. The company claims the HCP provide security and ease of implementation over its competition. HCP brings secure mobility to the enterprise. It can access data and collaborate on any devices, from any location and allows share files.
