Mumbai-based Hiranandani Group has selected HP's Integrity Servers and HP
StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) as the platform of choice to
implement SAP ECC 6.0 across its headquarters in Mumbai and branch offices
spread across Maharashtra as well as other parts of the country.

Joseph Martin, General Manager, IT, Hiranandani Group, said “The choice of HP
as the IT infrastructure partner was intuitive for Hiranandani Group. The
deployment was a first for us and demanded a commitment of robust assistance,
support and crisis management at all times, round the clock, round the year. As
a first time deployment, we needed to be assured of round the clock support and
more importantly, feedback during the implementation stages and understanding of
our unique business needs. All of these needs were met and exceeded by HP.”

Currently, around 300 users are operational in the system, and this number is
likely to double in the next three years alone. The SAP production applications
are running on HP Integrity rx2660 servers using HP-UX 11iV2. All the production
data is consolidated on the HP EVA4000 through SAN switches. Hiranandani fully
exploits the virtualization capability of the HP EVA combined with its
astonishing simplicity and really pushes the storage array to deliver great
performance. The Group uses its own separate backup software on an HP
StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library with LTO drives for Data Protection.
