New Delhi-based Hindustan Infosystems Ltd (HIL), a personal and business
technology pro-ducts company, has announced its plans to launch a range of
notebooks and laptops targe-ting the upwardly mobile executives in the urban
cities.
HIL also plans to introduce business card scanners and bar code scanners
among many other products in 2005.
The range will initially be launched in Delhi and other regional markets and
subse-quently will be introduced in other major cities through a professionally
trained and motivated channel network across the country in a phased manner. The
company also intends to make its notebooks range available in flagship stores at
select locations.
HIL notebooks will be available in Intel Centrino, AMD, VIA options. The
first HIL notebook, scheduled to be launched by mid of December 2004, will be an
AMD based ultra thin Wi-Fi enabled model weighing only 1.6 kg. HIL plans to
price its notebooks starting from Rs 30,000.
