Hi-Tech Solutions launches edge-enabled modems

SNIGDHA KARJATKAR Mumbai, Jan 19

Mumbai-based Hi-Tech Solutionsrecently laun-ched Cosmio's Edge

and Pure Edge PCMCIA and USB GMS modems in India. These modems are tri-band

compatible.

The company claims people can connect these modems and surf the

net. These GPRS modems can be used in all five continents, in over 175

countries. Mobile professionals can access to their company network, e-mail

server and Internet directly from their laptop, using GPRS, HSCSD or standard

CSD. The Cosmio's GPRS modem is compatible with Windows

98/Me/2000/NT4/XP/Pocket PC 2002.

provider, MTNL has already appreciated the products and have booked orders.

"We have already tied-up with MTNL which will use our products in Delhi and

Mumbai. This will definitely drive the revenue for us as the product is very

competitive and is getting a response from the leading names in the

market," said Bomi Rupa, Director, Hi-Tech Solutions. "I am positive

of increasing our volume sales to approximately 2,500-3,000,"added Rupa.
