HDS appoints new Director of Channel

Data Systems (HDS) has
appointed Srikant Chakrapani as Director-Channels and Strategic
Alliances for India. He will be responsible for the Hitachi TrueNorth
channel partner program and driving the technology alliances
strategy-a sales strategy targeted at the channel comprising
systems integrators, value added resellers and distributors.

The company's key goal this year is
to make the managed partner community successful and profitable
around the HDS Storage Solutions stack.

Commenting on Chakrapani's new role,
Vivekanand Venugopal, VP and GM-India, HDS, said, “His industry
experience, deep understanding of our solutions, field sales
experience and knowledge of our internal systems provides a strong
foundation for us to increase our coverage, and assist channel
partners capitalize on our solutions and rapidly evolving market
opportunities.”

In his previous role, Chakrapani was
the Regional Sales Director for West India and has been instrumental
in consolidating the enterprise business in the western region.
