HCL Infosystems has recently announced the launch of its enterprise channel
strategy. As part of this move, the company has rolled out an initiative called
'Enterprise Commercial Channel (ECC)', wherein HCL Infosystems plans to work
with 100 strategic business partners and 400 channel partners across the
country, addressing the SMB segment.

The company realized that SMBs normally look for easy to use and low TCO
technologies. Seeing the paradigm shift taking place among the SMEs, where they
have started treating technology as a business transformer rather than a mere
enabler, HCL's enterprise commercial channel would address this need of SMEs.

In line with the company's objective to strengthen its footprint across the
country towards addressing SMB segment, ECC will extend HCL and its alliance
partner's range of ICT solutions to SMBs. It will also provide opportunities to
channel partners to take complete bouquet of HCL ICT solutions to end-customers.

The company will redistribute the focus areas for channel business addressing
SMBs into three broad categories-Strategic Business Partners, Business Partners
and Registered Resellers.

Channel partners will be eligible for specialized pre- and post-sales
support, joint lead addressals, incentives, training, access to partner sections
on the website and extensive marketing support.

George Paul, Executive VP, HCL Infosystems said, "With this strategic
approach we will be able to address the upcoming SMB market a lot better. It
will be a win-win situation for customers, channel partners and HCL."
