HCL partners with Microsoft, targets SMB segment

HCL Frontline, the channel arm of HCL Infosystems, and Mic-rosoft Corporation

India Pvt Ltd have tied up to specifically target Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs)

in India by launching servers and IT solutions. The two companies have announced

the launch of IT solutions that include hardware, security, storage, networking

and connectivity, software and application as well as facility management and

training-all tailor made for SMBs.

Since the success rate of SMB's depends upon the fact that all connected

users should have fast, easy and uninterru-pted access to the company's

computing resources.

According to the press release, the HCL NetManager servers, preloaded and

precon-figured with Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, has been designed and

built by HCL after keeping these factors in mind . Besides that it makes

available HCL Desktops-Busybee preloaded with Windows XP Pro operating system

and Office Basic 2003.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajendra Kumar, VP Opera-tions, HCL Infosystems

The servers, desktop PCs and solution will be available at all HCL

Infosystems business solution partners across the country
