HCL intros 'green' ME Series 40

unveiled ME Series 40 Notebook with
BFR-free feature. The eco-friendly ME notebook has been designed and
manufactured with BFR components used in concentrations of less than
0.1 percent, thus making the product 100 percent recyclable and
environment-friendly.

ME Series 40 meets the
RoHS 2.0 standards, laid down by the European environmental-safety
standards, and is future-ready for the environmentally-conscious
global consumer. The notebook is also compliant to Energy Star 5.0
rating and blessed with the unique HCL Balanced Power Theme which
enables auto shutdown during idle period. The notebook becomes
greener with advanced thermal engineering, which minimizes the
heat-generation capacity. These features almost double the battery
back-up of the notebook, thus making a step towards conserving
energy.

HCL ME Series 40 is ISO 14001 certified
and also included in the HCL Green Bag campaign, which caters to the
e-waste collection for corporate as well as individual customers.
