According to the recently published IDC report, HCL Infosystems (HCL Insys) has been rated as the number one PC company in India. The report conducted for the first three quarters of the year 2002 has placed HCL Insys on the top with an overall market share of 8.6 percent in the desktop category for the period.
According to the report, HCL Insys has shipped 114,989 PCs in the first three quarters and recorded a growth of over 18.6 percent over the same period previous year. The company has maintained its dominance in the education, government and small business segments.
Speaking on the numero uno position, George Paul, VP (Marketing), HCL Infosystems, said, "HCL Infosystems has always had a very strong customer orientation. We have tremendous management depth and experience and it is our ability to anticipate market dynamics that has helped us to retain our position over the years."
