HCL Infosystems flagged off one of its biggest promotion event on June 01,
2002. The promotion is targeted at end-customers and will run for the month of
June alone. The customers on the purchase of Beanstalk PCs stand the chance to
win even a Hyundai Santro.
Rajan Rahi, Manager (Marketing), HCL Infosystems said, “There is an immense
potential for growth, even now in the market.” The growth, he feels, will come
only if customers are approached in different and innovative ways.HCL
Infosystems is using the ‘edutainment’ platform to position their Beanstalk
range of home PCs. HCL is looking at this opportunity to convince home users
about the benefits of having a computer and has trained its partners to convey
the same. “We have trained 60 of our sales staff and 250 channel sales staff
to ensure a quality sales experience,” said Rahi.
HCL is spending close to Rs 1 crore on this month-long promotion and expects
one out of every three customers to go home with a gift. “This is a statement
of our investment in the market, when no other company is spending,” said Rahi.
This program will cover the entire HCL channel community of over 600 partners
spread across 183 plus cities. The finance option will be available in over 100
towns.
