HCL Comnet is #1 VSAT service provider: V&D 100

HCL Comnet has been officially rated as the #1 VSAT services provider in a
nationwide survey 'V&D 100' conducted by Voice&Data, a leading IT
trade publication from the Cyber Media group. Last month, the first edition of
the survey had declared HCL Comnet as the #1 Network Management Services (NMS)
provider and Network Security Services provider.

According to the survey, the VSAT market grew by about 42 percent and the
industry reve-nues stood at approximately Rs 320 crore for the financial year
2003-04. HCL Comnet holds about 30 percent of the market share in this segment.
The company sold over 4950 VSATs on shared hubs in the last one year, which pegs
its growth to a phenomenal 145 percent-the fastest in the segment.

The survey also acknowled-ged the fact that the industry was moving away from
just installing and managing VSATs to providing value-added servi-ces to its
customers.
