HCL Infosystems (HCL Insys), the information enabling company, has announced the launch of the HCL BeanStalk personal computers (PCs) powered by Intel Pentium 4, 2 GHz processor for the home segment. This new Internet-ready, ergonomically designed series of HCL BeanStalk PC's is called Beanstalk OMEGA. This PC coincides with the global launch of Intel's Pentium 4(r) 2 GHz processor.
The price range of HCL's BeanStalk PC series begins from Rs 52,000 onwards. The machine has Intel's 850 chipset, has humungous real estate with a 40 GB ATA 100 hard disk. It has a 52x CDROM drive, with an option of DVD, a 17" digital color monitor, and a Dolby surround sound system.
HCL is also offering optional gaming devices like Joystick, gamepads etc. The optical mouse, 256 MB RDRAM makes work a pleasure of this machine.
These new Beanstalks would be soon available for consumers through HCL Infosystems Ltd - Frontline Division's strong channel.
