Guwahati welcomes IT Panchayat

The IT Panchayat, held in association with The DQ Week and DQ Channels, made
a stop at Guwahati. Panelists of the event included Debabrata Dey, Branch
Manager, Redington India, Sanjay Das, Branch Manager, Supertron India, Rajesh
Agarwal, Branch Manager, Rashi Peripherals.

Presentations were made by Subhashish Roy, Relationship Manager-East,
Hitachi, Puspal Tamuli, Business Manager, Sify and Arghya Sanyal, Senior
Business Development Manager, Micro World.

During the event, channel partners got a chance to discuss their issues with
distributors so that together a resolution can be achieved. The major issues
discussed included a shortage of popular fast moving products. According to
channel partners this is one area they could make good sales, however the
shortage hampers the growth of their business. The other major issue was that
distributors were billing products above the MRP.

In all around 60 partners attended the event, which ended with cocktails and
dinner.
