Grand Atlantic Corporation, a Hyderabad-based company is all set to provide Voice over IP (VoIP) based products and solutions in the country. The company is planning for a line of voice-over-Internet Protocol hardware and software products aimed at enabling enterprises to manage and control business VoIP networks.
"We are going to launch a range of VoIP products during next month. The company was waiting for the right moment to unveil its product range and this is the right time to do so as the government of India is going to open up its policy towards the usage of the public Internet for voice based VOIP most probably from April. Initially we are going to operate from our Hyderabad office only and within six months time we are going to have our presence all over the country," said R Sudhir Reddy, President, Grand Atlantic Corporation.
Labeled GateCall - the range of products include a VoIP bridge, a gateway and other networking products. The products also include mini remote access servers, which help to log on to the network from a remote location. "We also have mini routers, wireless data bridges and a number of devices and solutions for enterprise networking. We are targeting our products for the individual, SOHO, SME, corporate and government segment. Our product prices starts at Rs 15,000 and goes up to Rs 2 lakh and it is competitively priced in the market," he said.
With its core focus towards VoIP based communication solutions, the company started its operations in US about two years back. "We were looking at the Indian market for quite sometime and now we decided to move our headquarters to the country as this is the right time to do so," Reddy said.
The company has already invested Rs 70 lakh in setting up its development center at Hyderabad and is planning to increase the investment to about Rs 2 crore for further strengthening its position in the Indian sub-continent. "The market in India is a big one and we expect to generate more than Rs 30 crore within the first year of our operations itself," he added.
