Cashing in on the growing IT sector boom, the Andhra Pradesh government is
planning to develop three more IT parks on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The
government has allotted 300 acres to 500 acres of land and is inviting
developers to come up with the state of the art building plans for the proposed
parks.
Informing this, JC Mohanty , IT secretary to AP government said, "The
Chief Minister Dr YS Rajashekara Reddy wants to encourage healthy competi-tion
and is inviting developers to come up with good plans for the proposed IT parks.
Each park would be developed in an area of 100 acres to 150 acres or more."
The process of invi-ting bids has already begun and the pre qualification bids
would be finalized by Nov 15.
"Once the developing pro-cess is being designated to the developers by
the mid of 2006 we are expecting one or more parks to start functioning,"
explained Mohanty.
"We are encouraging the developers to build IT parks and when once they
invest in order to reap the benefits of their investment they will invite
companies to host their offices in the developed parks," he added.
