GOIP Global Services, an IT services
company providing end-to-end technology solutions and services within
the infrastructure domain, has appointed Rahul Swarup as its
new CEO and MD. In this role, Swarup will look after entire
operations and activities across GOIP Global Services and spearhead
growth and business in the domestic and overseas markets. Swarup comes
with a robust experience
of around 27 years across the industry including ONGC, Citibank,
Sify, and VSNL. He was also the co-founder of 7Strata, an IT Services
company catering to remote infrastructure management services.
Giving his reasons for joining GOIP,
Swarup said, “Though I had the options of joining a large
enterprise, I chose GOIP because this company has the right DNA to be
able to scale up, as it has offerings in the product space, system
integration, and managed services. In each of these spaces, there is
a growth opportunity and a huge market that can well be addressed.
Besides, I am well versed with the company's areas of operations and
know the capabilities of the existing team as well.” “During my stint
with organizations
like Citibank, Sify to 7Strata, I have found that everyone has the
capability to excel. You just need to create right environment and
practices, as no one wants to be a laggard. GOIP is one company that
I have known for sometime and Anil Mittal, the Chairman of GOIP
Global Services, has given me the flexibility to shape the future of
the company, which is a big motivation for me,” added Swarup. Swarup's
primary focus is to scale up
the business dramatically, increase revenue, create value for the
customers, partners, and all the other stakeholders including the
shareholders. He is keen on making the relationship with the
ecosystem stronger, make deeper inroads into the market, and
establish thought leadership in the areas of their operations. And in
this highly competitive marketplace, he wants carve out the company's
own space.
“While GOIP has not done much of the
publicity in the past, the brand is a fairly known, well-recognized,
and respected in the market. And since the base is
already available, it makes my job much easier. But at the same time,
there are more expectations out of me in terms of taking the company
to new directions,” asserted Swarup. He has set a few agenda for
this new role, which includes enriching the relationships with
customers, making go-to-market strategy more strong, enriching
practices, and strengthening all the three areas of
operation-value-added distribution, system integration, and managed
services. And above all, he wants the convergence between all these
three practices.
“Being the leader, I can't take
credit for all the successes but I have to take the sole blame for
anything that goes wrong. It's totally going to be the team work and
wherever I don't have the knowledge, I will leverage the expertise of
my team. My idea is to become an orchestrator or a facilitator and do
things which ensures us that we are in the right course,” concluded
Swarup.
