Infocom is in the process of appointing IT and consumer durables
partners. The company is buoyant about the innovative solutions,
which is a first of its kind solution, built with the technological
collaboration of Intel embedded group team. Intel is also providing a
platform to promote such innovative solutions to a lager audience.
Ashish Dham, MD, Globus
Infocom said, “It took us 3 years to develop and design the basic
model of Magic studio indigenously at our manufacturing facility in
Dehradun, built on Intel architecture. We have been closely working
with public and private educational institutes. Based on our
customer's feedback; we have launched this product, which is highly
portable, uses a single cable and is an all in one solution, which
has embedded projection and computing engine.”
In the short span of its
launch, Globus has sold 1,000 units of Magic Studio to government
institutes. It has also exported sizable units to South Africa,
Malaysia and Dubai.
Dham also said, “We are
introducing two new models of Magic Studios along with the 3D model,
and 3D LED model with lifetime warranty in the month of July. We are
ready with the prototype and waiting to grab large orders. We are
highly investing on R&D and will be coming with out most
compelling solutions for the educational sector.”
“2011 will be a year of
innovative solutions for partners, which will not only offer high
profitability, but new growth avenues to them. Moreover, we are going
to roll out road shows and quarterly schemes for partners. Besides,
our existing channel partners, who are catering to educational
institutes, are now aggressively looking for new set of IT and
consumer durables. Hence, by the end of April, we will be ready with
our new solution roadmap,” said Kiran Dham, VP-marketing, Globus
Infocom.
Dham also added, “This
year, we would also like to position Globus as an indigenous
manufacturer of presentation products, instead of just a distribution
company, since our focus is to establish our own range of products in
the market. However we will continue doing our distribution
business.”
