GlobaLINGO to launch SW globalization & localization program

GlobaLINGO, a start-up company providing globalization and localization service for software and web products, is all set to launch a new training program mainly for the software engineers. Called Software & Website Globalization and Localization (SWGL) Engineering, the six-month program will help professionals to seek new job opportunities in the emerging markets such as China, Japan, Hong Kong and Europe where language-based programmers are much needed. "Now, companies have started to look for markets other than the US. However, the software products have to be given in their local language for better reach and business," said S Senthil Nathan, CEO, GlobaLINGO. The company hopes there will be a good demand for translators and programmers involved in translation service.

The course comprise of five module such as introduction to software and website globalization, internationalization and localization; software globalization and localization with Windows; website internationalization and localization; CJK processing and Indian language computing. "At the end of the course, the students will be given live project for translation," he said.

The course comes also with an optional foreign language coaching. A student can prefer a language of his/her choice from Chinese, Japanese and German.

The company is also targeting corporate training market and expect to train at least 20 people in the first batch.

GlobaLINGO is also providing translation service for software products and foreign language documents. "We provide consultancy service for software companies having products for the global market," he said.
