Gitex Hyderabad 2003 attracting interest of MNCs

Gitex Hyderabad organizers held a press conference in conjunction with Gitex Dubai 2002 where they announced that the second edition of Gitex Hyderabad, scheduled to take place January 22 to 24, 2003 at the Hitex International Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, is making big waves in India's IT and telecom industries. 

Numerous multinationals are exploring how they can boost their presence in the region through the exhibition and in a bid to generate more interest among multinationals already familiar with the Gitex success story, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is participating in Gitex Dubai for the first time ever.

GITEX Hyderabad would be open exclusively to bona fide professionals and businessmen. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is coordinating a conference to complement the trade exhibition focusing on e-governance, Business Process Outsourcing and Strategies for Business.

The conference would also offer one-on-one networking opportunities and include product demonstrations.

Ajay Sawhney, Secretary IT and C, Government of Andhra Pradesh said that Gitex Hyderabad presents the ideal forum for the region to increase its global profile and fuel the continued growth and expansion of its ICT sector. He said that this annual event, coupled with several new Government policies aimed at stimulating international interest in the region's ICT sector are important and positive steps that would help secure Andhra Pradesh's future on the world's ICT stage.
